How Can We Help?
Feel free to drop us a line.
Standing Seam roofing which is relatively new to Jamaica, is a continuous roofing product that offers a very secure and aesthetically pleasing roofing solution. It is whats known in the roofing market as a concealed fastener product where all clips which attach the product to the roof are hidden. This lends itself to a very clean and sleek 100% watertight roof.
You are probably asking 100% watertight???…..well….absolutely no screws or fasteners penetrate the panel during installation and all seams are mechanically joined. We will demonstrate the system and process during the tour of the production line..
So you ask yourself ….well, what makes us different from any other supplier of Standing Seam roofing. The answer is simple…. Technology. Our state of the art software and forming equipment allow us to manufacture panels and trim accessories to precise tolerances therefore enabling an exact fit when the products are installed on the roof. Our trims are all formed on a computerized folder which ensure accurate angles so all pieces are exactly the same and fit precisely together. Our computerized roofing software determines the exact material required for the job down to the last screw. What this means, is substantial savings to the customer as he or she will be purchasing only what is needed for the job. Nothing more nothing less…
This however is only half of the process…now and equally important is the quality installation that goes along with our products. Standing seam roofing is a technical roofing system and requires attention to detail during the installation process …. Matalon Roofing does the complete supply and install of our product and we will warrant not only the product but also the installation…… How’s that for peace of mind?

Metal is an extremely durable building material, and therefore a great choice for roofing. Metal roofs are expected to last over 30 years and often come with a lifetime warranty.
One great advantage of standing seam metal roofs is contained in the name itself: seams, the weak point in any roof and a potential entry point for moisture, are raised above the level of the roofing panel. You can’t say this for composition shingles.
Because the metal panels run unhindered from the top to the bottom of the roof, not only are there no horizontal seams but in total the roof has a far fewer number of seams.
Yes, metal is tough–very tough–but it’s not impervious to all hazards. The sheet metal in this type of roofing can be penetrated by heavy falling limbs or dented by a severe hailstorm.
All metal roofing in general is considered a “cool roof” by the US Environmental Protection Agency. This is because metal roofing can be painted any color, including colors on the lighter end of the spectrum which will prevent solar heat gain.
Standing seam roofs are perfect for certain types of contemporary or country-style houses. Due to the smooth, straight lines, these roofs give your house an “industrial” feeling, yet with a modern flair. These are not the rippled tin roofs that you might remember from warehouses of the past.
